First frost warning and temps in the 30's last night so I picked what was left of the tomatoes and peppers. I love this fall weather, but will miss the fresh 'maters.

I'm thinking both hot sauce and pepper jelly. Probably give some of both as Christmas gifts to the foodies in the family.

I have to roast those bastards to make them tame enough to eat.

A little goes a long way. I hope to have some hot sauce bottled by early December...

I love the jelly!
Well just like the forecast said, we had our first snow fall today, started out as rain, then rain/snow mix and as it turned cooler as the sun went down it was big fluffy flakes.
Cold enough for it to stick to roof tops.

Mid-60's at night, mid-80's during the day, low humidity, nice breeze ... this is the weather I wish we'd have year-round. Michigan had it's first snow ... time for the flocks of snowbirds to start arriving!

Mid 60's mid 80's sounds like deer season in southern Arkansas. Mosquitoes as big as turkey vultures

We got skeeters big enough to stand flat-footed, and RAPE a turkey !!! ;)

That was always a good test of the state of our marriage :)
I finally built a lift for the hard top that worked really well. We only got to use it once so now it will make a hell of a canoe kayak hoist.

It's really not that bad of a job the second time around. :D The boy only whined a little about how heavy it was and got no sympathy from me whatsoever as he's cheaper than a hoist. I do love the Jeep, but did find myself eyeballing shiny new F150 I saw going down the road earlier this week...
