I'm sure I could research this on the net, but this place is so dead right now, I figured I'd give somebody here something to do.
What is the best method and materials to use when cleaning a (flat screen) monitor? Just the usual dust/fingerprint type stuff.

Thanks Mudward, I'll look for them. I've just used a soft cloth before, but it just spreads the dust around and doesn't touch fingerprints. It's never really been a big deal, but I just decided I wanted to give it a good cleaning.

I hesitate to ask WHY there are fingerprints on your monitor? And WHY they are leaving such a mess?

I'd leave finger prints while peeling buggers off my screen after a sneeze. Anything else ya' wants ta' know Mr. SD'er? ;)

Windex will leave a film on your pc screen....my little pc guru guy told me about the lens cleaners.

If he's scraping boogers of his screen maybe leaving a little film on it isn't a bad idea! :)
