One of my favorite Thai dishes is Pad Thai. Now, mind you, it's like anything else ... there's good, and there's bad Pad Thai ... but once I find the good stuff, I'm all over it. If you've never heard of it, here's a short blurb from the net:
Pad Thai, the national dish of Thailand
The dish is possibly one of the most famous Thai dishes and appears on menus throughout the world. Therefore, you can enjoy the dish anywhere in Thai restaurants. Strikingly, Pad Thai is listed at number 5 on World’s 50 most delicious foods; readers poll compiled by CNN Go.
Anyway, the other day Lynn and I were in Aldi and they had a new product ... Pad Thai in a "take-out" box. I must have been hungry because I picked one up. I have no clue why really, but I figured I'd try it for lunch one day. Well, I had it this afternoon ... added some cooked chicken, some bean sprouts, green onion and dried Thai pepper, just to doctor it up a bit. Now, I seriously doubt I'd buy it again ... it was an impulse purchase, but it was surprisingly good. As they say these days, nothing special, but "it is what it is".
As I was eating, I sat reading the box. Now remember ... this is the so-called "National Dish of Thailand". (here's the box)

And for the final pic .... wait for it ............ AARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! (I'm tellin' Trump!) ;)
