Fox News:
"""A wealthy Ohio man with reported ties to Iranian royalty was collecting $300 a month in food stamp benefits and was on Medicaid, authorities said.
Ali Pascal Mahvi's 8,000 square-foot home in Russell Township was raided last week, with the Geauga County prosecutor accusing the millionaire of manipulating the system, WKYC-TV reported..
"It’s outrageous to see a situation where somebody is living in a house almost worth a million dollars, a horse barn, driving luxury cars, have millions of dollars in overseas bank accounts and here they are accepting this type of assistance," said Prosecutor James R. Flaiz.
Charges have not been filed yet against Mahvi or his wife. Their three adult children also live in the mansion, valued at more than $800,000.
The case is expected to go before a grand jury which will decide on a potential indictment.
Ali Pascal Mahvi's 8,000 square-foot home in Russell Township was raided this week.
Authorities accuse Mahvi of failing to disclose the existence of at least 14 bank accounts, including one holding $4 million in Switzerland, when he applied for the aid.
Mahvi, however, vehemently denies being wealthy, claiming the family's only income are loans from friends and church donations.
"It was our right to apply [for food stamps] and I applied," he said, arguing that the bank accounts that authorities found are old."""
I'm just glad he got caught....and, hope he has to pay every penny of it back....yeah, right.
