All our chicks were home this weekend except the one up in Colorade, so I made a big family dinner yesterday. Took out a second mortgage and bought a seven pound choice standing rib roast that I let sit for a few hours to get to room temp. Salted and peppered that dude and put it on the BGE along with one stick of apple, I'd cut off one of my trees myself some time ago, laid on top of the coals. Cooked it at 280 or so until it got to 135 internal and man that was one of the tastiest pieces of meat I've had in a long time. Fed nine people!
No pics, but it sure was a goodun! Along with homemade rolls, fresh green beans, and mashed taters. About as American as Labor Day!
