Though I owe you all of you a personal update and thanks, please forgive me as instead I am going to paste an update my wife penned shortly after leaving Mayo on Monday afternoon. Still trying to recoup from the stress & the 20+ hour day we had on Monday which included 11 hours of driving on some seriously icy/snow covered roads.
Thank you to all our family and friends over the past several weeks for all your prayers, positive thoughts and encouragement. Tyler visited with several doctors today at Mayo. They all agreed that his tumor is a benign cartilage tumor ( it could be nothing more than cartilage that didn't turn to bone properly) It warrants us to watch it by taking images to check size of tumor and bone integrity. We could take a biopsy but that could cause other worries and not give us a definitive answer. So I guess we wait and see. The tumor specialist assured us that this was nothing to worry about and we just need to watch it like you would a weird mole on your skin. We all wanted a definite answer but I guess we need to have patience. We do feel better visiting about are options. Tyler will have another MRI in March, So continued prayers are welcome.
