Just got back from me quarterly checkup at MDA.
I had the standard 1.5 hour MRI and the CT scan(s), and blood work etc, etc, etc....
One NEW thing this time around was a Heart Stress Test. The day before we were due to head out there, I had an "episode" for about 5 or 10 mins where I had this intense feeling of pressure inside of my chest.....and my blood pressure was way high for a few mins there.
Soooooo, we got the cardiologist added onto my list of docs to see this time around. They did one of those "chemical" (I think they called it) stress tests where they put somekindof stuff into an IV whilst I am lying on a table and an Ultrasound Tech is taking pictures of my heart whilst a couple of docs watch the images from an adjacent room. They had to do it this way because there's NO WAY that I could walk on a treadmill fast enough to get my heart rate up to where they wanted it. I thought my darned heart was gonna pound it's way out of my chest!!
In the end ALL of my docs said ALL of my tests came back very good. The cardio folks said everything looked good (even though this test is only 80% accurate), and the Oncologist and Neurosurgeon said that there is NO signs that the tumor is trying to grow back. For which I am very greatful to "The Man" upstairs.
