Randy remains in critical condition, however he is now awake and stable.
He went in the hospital with what he thought was a bad cold and was admitted with congestive heart failure. They have taken biopsy and there is a lot of scar tissue on the heart mussel. His condition is family related and the doctors have said it was not cause by drugs or alcohol. His Mom, Bobbi, died young with the same condition and one of his brothers, Ricky had a heart attack last year,
I called last Tuesday (the day before he had the stroke) but have not called since for obvious reasons. They did implant a deal in the left side of his heart the day before I called that helps the heart pump blood.
He had the stroke last Wednesday and has been under heavy sedation since. He is also on a ventilator. They are weaning him off of it now. He is now awake and talking.
Looks like he will be in the hospital for a couple more weeks at least and then to a rehab hospital for several months.
Thanks for all the well wishes
Keep him in your thoughts
