View Full Version : Question for boat/pontoon owners....
Big Muddy

When servicing and test-running my Suntracker pontoon boat, this past weekend, I noticed the Merc. motor was somewhat slow to respond, while turning the steering wheel.
It has a hydraulic steering system....not a direct steering cable....I can't find an oil reservoir to check the fluid level....nor, do I detect any leaks, anywhere along the hydraulic hoses or fittings.
The previous owner did not have a service manual, and I've scoured the web, trying to find an owners/operators manual, with no luck at all.
Any help from the GH brain-trust???

Just to make sure I cover all the bases before answering your question, how many drinks had you had before you noticed this phenomena?

This might help if that's the system you have.
