Parnelli Jones died at the age of 90. First person to top 150 MPH for a lap at Indy and an off-road legend as well.

Yep, my buddy Willie Stroppe was very close and said he's been having a rough time for quite a while. Part of the reason he auctioned many of his cars (including Stroppe's Big Oly) a few years ago. We were just talking about it the other day, but Willie has had problems and just got out of the hospital himself. We'll be having a long talk tomorrow. I remember when P.J. was driving for Stroppe at the St. Pete Grand Prix. The crew stayed here at the house. Luckily I have a long driveway as the transporter sat her for a few days. The neighbors thought it was pretty cool.

Parnelli is one of the great old school guys ... there aren't many left .. and VERY few like him.
