I’ve got a little native pecan tree about 25 foot tall and as thick as an average man’s chest and that dude is loaded. Medium size pecans but a bunch of them. I’ve probably picked up about ten gallons before today and the tree has as many left on it as I’ve picked up
Today’s picking

That’s a mess’o pee-cans! What affects the size of the nut? The dna of the tree? Size/age of the tree? Soil conditions? Rainfall amount? Weather conditions (temperatures, etc) of growing season? All of the above? I have no idea.

I guess it’s just a species of pecan that small, kinda like a grape tomato

Mine are native and they’re small but tastier than the big papershell grafted varieties.

That’s a heckuva pecan tree, QA. I sure wish we had them around here. Pecan wood is one of my go to’s for my smoker. I have to buy it by the bag though.
