2:55 CT. I still can’t believe we’re landing stuff on Mars in my lifetime. and with working batteries too! Amazing! I guess there wasn’t any non ethanol gas on mars so they decided on renewables?
Anyways, this is gonna be a cool mission to a cool valley. amazing how they can have already mapped most of the surface of the planet.

Watched the whole thing, even found myself holding my breath.
What was hard to believe was watching the control room manned by kids, I mean I think the mean age of the staff must be in their 20's.
Damn amazing feat,
Found something interesting about this rover. They learned solar panels didn't work that great due to the dust on Mars, so this Rover is powered by a small nuclear reactor. Just amazing chit !!!

I wonder if they can wrap the blades in tinfoil, then set up solar wind turbines? ;)

With a reactor its no telling how long that rover will last. Like an old chevy.
I watched it too. Spot on. Hats off to Jim Bridenstine from right chere in Owasso Oklahoma. He was a good NASA chief. I was kind of hoping Biden would keep him on but he resigned before the end of Trumps term.

I talked to my nephew in Houston yesterday and asked him if he’d lost power. He said that’s one thing he NEVER worries about and has never lost power. When I asked why, he said he’s on the same grid as NASA. ;)

Interesting story about some ‘easter eggs’ hidden on Perseverance.
