Since ‘rule of law’ seems to be a hot topic these days.....if someone purposefully coughs or spits at you implying they are doing it to spread their germs to you can you legally shoot back or use any other self defense means?
Should you be able to?

I believe it is considered assault in most places. Your results may vary in whether deadly force is an appropriate response.

Haven’t people been charged with some crime for having unprotected sex knowing they were hiv positive?

Yes, but the question was whether or not lethal force would be justified if someone spit on you.

In Indiana spitting on someone is considered battery by bodily waste so you are able to protect yourself when you are being assaulted. It would be an interesting test case if lethal force was used.

You better be careful with these kind of thoughts. Holding people accountable for their actions is more of a republican initiative.... statements like the above may get you kicked out of your current party. :D :D :D

I’m not advocating it as much as I’m predicting it.

How about farting in someone's face???.....I know some folks around this place, who could be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, if they cut one in your face. ;)

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A man who intentionally spat at another can be charged with criminal assault, a U.S. appeals court ruled on Wednesday.

P-hole could be charged with attempted murder just by looking at someone .... trying to fugly them to death. On a really bad day, I suppose it could escalate to a murder charge.
