View Full Version : Youngest Boy’s first buck
I pride myself in doing things that most people pay others to do. Home repair, car repair, etc etc. I have done a lot of different things with the help of YouTube and reading.
I have now done this twice, and it is really satisfying. I think it turned out very nice.
This is my youngest son’s first buck. Just finished it up tonight when I got home.

Very nice RT, I really like how you included the picture. My dad did a mount of three turkey beards in-laid into a picture frame and below is a pic of my brother, dad and I on the hunt. The mount is awesome but I think the pic really helps you relive a time long ago.
Hombre,
I agree on the pic, it brings it together, almost real life.
My corny, nostalgic side looks at it and fast forwards 50 years when my G-gkids are looking at that pic.

What a great way to memorialize both a great hunt and some father and son
Time.

You know it's been years and I'd have to go back and look but I'd almost bet you the Scout International is somewhere in the pic, kinda be sad if it wasn't...that hunting vehicle was part of the family

I thoughtTerry’s old grand wagoneerwas an awesome mudmobile for those pheasant hunts.

We sure went down some roads I didn’t think we were going to make it back out of in that thing.
That's a nice smokepole in the picture. Must have shot pretty well, huh?
I bet that boy has regaled a few dozen folks with his tales of bucks by this time.

BBP the Wagoneer was awesome on the pheasant hunts, but the first vehicle was a Scout International and like Trav said we wen't down "roads" in that thing that we never should of come out the other end. To this day I wish I had that rust on wheels back. It was actually my first vehicle. When I was 16 I drove it off in a ditch that was about 4' deep and was balanced on 3 tires. I opened the door, thinking if it rolled, that would save me.....put it in 4 wheel drive and drove out...not a single extra dent.....or at least wasn't noticeable from all the others.
