We had a great trip up to Dogtooth this year. The walleye gave us a little trouble until we got on the pattern. Len upped his personal best this year. No 30 inchers this year though. The bass fishing was much slower than we normally see. The fish we caught all had full bellies which were the best we could tell, crawdads. There must have been a molt of some kind going on. I mean these fish looked like they all had type 2 diabeetus. I managed my own personal best smallie(18 1/2).
We saw the northenr lights three nights in a row, quite a sight out on the lake. the beginning of the week was like summer and the rest was like November in Oklahoma. We were all layered up the last half of the week. Stable weather is almost always a trigger for walleye but we didn’t have it.
It was an awesome week of fishing in a beautiful place. And some awesome company too!
More pics later and I’m sure Len will add some.
