.
I'm getting a little bored with the same ole smoked stuff like ribs, butts, chickens, ham, venison, turkey, etc., etc.
Anybody got any ideas about something different for Memorial Day???

I think we're going to grill some burgers, make some ice cream, and maybe have the last of last uears frozen peaches in a cobbler.

Depends on whats on sale. Crawdads (jus got some at our winn dixie for 2.29/lb), scrimps, crablegs. One of em, two of em, or all 3 both em Then always new potatoes, corn on the cob, hot smoked sausage. Somtimes mushrooms. I like it hot, wife does not. Best seasoning I found is called "swamp fire". It'll lite yore ass up!

Sounds good, Boog.....I might just do the same thing, for a change.....mudbugs, scrimps, corn on da cob, new taters, onions, and of course, some Attala County country sausage.
I'd hafta take out a bank loan for crab legs down here, however. ;)

Also, a big part of the cool factor on a boil is presentation. Spread visqueen on a couple long tables and dump it. Erryone eats like at a hog trough.

I gots a special-mud-bug-chow-down-table built for that very purpose, at the lakehouse....about 8 feet long with side boards, and a big hole cut in the middle, to hang a garbage bag for the shells and scraps....when the eating is over with, just tie up the bag, and toss it in the trash.....no clean-up, just hose down the table.
Mine is functional, but not quite as nice as this one. ;)
